Scans or "CT"
Open MRI of Phillipsburg features Computerized Axial Tomography,
or CAT scans. CAT scan technology is a special for of X-ray
which can produce "3-D" images enabling non-invasive
imaging of abnormalities such as tumors, cysts, abscesses
or degenerated tissue deep within the body. This procedure
is an important diagnostic tool which can replace other techniques
such as expiatory surgery. Unlike conventional X-rays, the
computer technology of a CT scan allows the "pictures"
taken of your internal organs to be taken from numerous angles,
and then digitally reconstructed, allowing doctors to see
the slightest irregularity.
CAT scans are accurate, efficient and can save the patient
a great deal of inconvenience and discomfort. These scans
are ideal for monitoring a patient's progress during and after
a procedure.
